Aurtaban A. Wilson, 90, of the 2400 block of Virginia Beach Blvd., died Oct. 16,
2002, at Sentara Leigh.

Born in Princess Anne County, Mr. Wilson spent most of his adult life in
Connecticut and New Jersey. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company in New Jersey
and was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church, Norfolk, and Ebenezer Baptist
Church for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice E. Wilson; a daughter, Donnell Brown of
Plainfield, N.J.; two stepdaughters, Linda Cole of Virginia Beach and Carol
Ellerbee of North Carolina; a son, Kenneth Wilson of California; a brother,
Edward Hart of Norfolk; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; five
great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.

A funeral will be held Saturday at noon at New Calvary Baptist Church by the
Rev. Dr. G.G. Campbell with burial in Jones Memorial Park. The family will
receive friends today from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Community Funeral Home, Norfolk
Chapel. The remains will be in the church at 10 a.m.
