Mrs. Cora Woodley of 1616 Outlaw street, died Jan. 17, in her home after a 
short illness.  A native of Elm City, NC, she was the daughter of John 
Whitehurst and Mrs. Jane Whitehurst, and the widow of Joseph Woodley.

She was a member of the House of Prayer for All People, where the funeral was 
held.  The Rev. H. L. Whitner officiated with burial in Jones Memorial Park.  
Hale Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

She is survived by one son, Edward Mitchell of New York City;  one daughter, 
Mrs. Hattie Turner of Norfolk;    and one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Gladys 
Mitchell of New York and one grandchild.
