A.D. 1814 Janet Urquhart Lovell, daughter of Charles U. and Mary E. Lovell, was married to Doctor Isaac N. Buck, of Warren County, Virginia, on the 21st day of Nov. 1839. Eleanor U. Lovell, daughter of same, was married to Mr. Samuel C. Richardson of Warren County, on the 18th day of October 1842. Wm Yates Lovell, son of C.U. and M.E. Lovell, was married to Sarah Frances Allen, Shenandoah County, Virginia, on the 22nd of February 1844. Mary Julia Lovell, daughter of Chas. U. and Mary E. Lovell, was married to Thos. W. Kiger, of Warren County, Virginia on the 17th of October 1850. Lucy Ann Lovell, daughter of Chas. U. and Mary E. Lovell, was married to Thomas M. Randolph of Warren County, Virginia on the 16th day of March 1852, in Front Royal. John Terrill Lovell, son of Chas. U. and Mary E. Lovell, was married on the first day of October 1857, at Woodstock by Rev. A.H.H. Boyd, D.D., to Lucy Ann, oldest daughter of Captain Samuel C. Williams, of Shenandoah County. Sarah Elizabeth Lovell, daughter of Chas. U. and Mary E. Lovell, was married to Col. Mandly Taylor Wheatly, of Warren County, Virginia on the 6th day of September 1859, by Rev. James E. Hughes, in Front Royal. Births: Charles Urquhart Lovell, son of Jannett Irvine and Wm. Lovell, was born in the town of Fredericksburg, Virginia on the 13th day of Nov. Anno Domini 1779. Mary Evans Lovell, his wife, dau. of Nimod and Eleanor Long, was born in the county of Culpeper, Va., on the 31st day of Jan 1796. (On back of photo of Wm. Lovell, “Born 1758, died 1826, son of Jacob and Susan Butler Lovell, married Janett Irvine Urquhart about 1787”) Janet Urquhart Lovell, dau. of Charles and Mary Lovell, was born in the town of Woodstock, Shenandoah County, Virginia on the 10th day of June A.D. 1815, at 7 o’clock A.M. and Christened by Rev. Wm Hawley. Her sponsors are her parents. Wm. Yates Lovell, son of Charles and Mary Lovell, was born in the town of Woodstock, Shenandoah County, Virginia on the 6th day of Nov. 1817 A.D. at half past ten o’clock A.M. and was baptized by the Rev. Benjamin Allen. His father and mother were his sponsors. Eleanor Williams Lovell, daughter of the same, was born in Woodstock, on the 22nd day of May A.D. 1821 and baptized by Rev. Benjamin Smith. Her sponsors are her parents, and her Uncle and Aunt Yates. Charles Hite Lovell, son of the same, was born in Woodstock on the 11th day of Dec. A.D. 1823 and departed this life on the 7th day of July 1824 A son born dead June 1825 Lucy Ann Maury Lovell, dau. of same born in Woodstock on the 19th of Oct. A.D. 1827 and baptized by the Rev. George Smith. Her sponsors are her parents. Mary Julia Lovell, dau. of same, was born in Woodstock on the 25th day of March 1830 and was baptized by the Rev. Geo. Smith. Her sponsors are her parents and her Aunt Ealeanor H. Long. John Terrill Lovell, son of the same was born on the 13th day of July 1832 at Fox Neck, Culpeper County, Virginia. Sarah Elizabeth Lovell, day. of the same was born at Fox Neck on the 18th day of Feb. 1834. Deaths Ann Lovell (Aunt of Charles Lovell) departed this life at “Spring Vale”, Powell’s Fort, Shen. Co., then the residence of Chas. U. Lovell in the 78th, year of her age. This melancholy event occurred on the 22nd March 1851. She was a woman of great piety and virtue and the utmost fortitude and resignation in her last moments. Charles Urquhart Lovell died at his residence in Front Royal, Warren County, Va. of Pulmonary disease, on the second day of August A.D. 1858, at four o’clock A.M. in the 69th year of his age. In all the relations of life he was kind and a man of the strictest integrity, and died in the faith of the Christian. His funeral sermon was preached at the Presbyterian Church, in Front Royal, by Rev. Doct. Hammer of Baltimore, Md., after which his remains were interred at “Mountain View”. Mary Evans Lovell departed this life at “Willow Glen”, residence of her daughter, Sarah Wheatly, the 19th of Dec. 1862, at ten O’clock A.M., in the 67th year of her age. Her funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Robert T. Berry, from Revelation 14th, chap. and 13th verse, after which she was buried beside her husband at “Mt. View”, near Front Royal, Warren County. (Mr. and Mrs. Lovell have since been re-interred in Prospect Hill Cemetery) **************************************** Marriages Isaac N. Buck and Susan Taylor married 12th June 1827 at “Walnut Hill”, Frederick County, Virginia. Isaac N. Buck and Janet U. Lovell married 21st Nov. 1859, in the Fort, Shenandoah County. Catherine Elizabeth Buck, daughter of Isaac N. and Susan Buck, married to Marcus Henson Blakemore, son of Thos. Blakemore, at “Mountain View”, on the morning of the 21st of Sept. 1852. Mary A.C. Buck, Daughter of Isaac N. and Susan Buck, married to Solomon Grundy Cunningham, at “Mt. View”, near Front Royal, in the evening of the 16th of March 1854. Marcus T. Buck, son of Isaac N. and Susan Buck was married to Elizabeth A. Cramer, daughter of James P. Cramer, on the morning of the 21st of April 1857, at Schuylerville, Saratoga County, N.Y. Nannie Lovell Buck, daughter of Isaac N. and Janet U. Buck, was married to Charles Anderton Brown, at “Mt. View” Dec 3, 1871 Thos. Wm. Buck to Augusta C. Buck, at “Belmont”, near Front Royal March 5, 1873 Robert L. Buck to Katie Massie in Baltimore, Dec. 25, 1877 James C. Buck to Nannie M.R. Wright at “Oakley” Jan. 10, 1883 Charles N. Buck to Annie S. Deatherage Jan. 31, 1883, in the Episcopal Church at Front Royal. Births Isaac N. Buck was born 22nd March 1801 at “BelleAir” Susan Taylor born 15th June 1810 at “Walnut Hill” Marcus T. Buck was born Feb. 29, 1828 at the Mouth of Passage Creek. Mary A.C. Buck was born 12th May 1830 in Front Royal Catherine Elizabeth Buck born 27th April 1832 in Front Royal. Ann Buck was born 12th Dec. 1834, 2 O’clock A.M. in Front Royal. Susan Buck was born Dec. 27, 1936 in Front Royal Janet U. Lovell born in Woodstock, Shenandoah County, 10th June 1815 Charles Newton Buck, son of Isaac N. and Janet U. Buck, was born in Front Royal on Friday night, 30th Dec. 1842 Thos. Wm. was born at “Mt. View”, near Front Royal on the morning of the 9th of Nov. 1845 Ann Lovell Buck (Nanny) was born at “Mt. View” near Front Royal on the 5th of Nov. 1848 Robert Lovell Buck, was born at “Mt. View” near F.R. on the 13th of April 1851 James S.G. Buck was born at “Mt. View” near F.R. Warren Co., Va., on the 29th April 1854 Deaths Ann Buck died Jany 23, 1835 of whooping cough. Susan Buck wife of Isaac N. Buck died June 26, 1836 Marcus T. Buck died 12th Aug. 1862, at Philadelphia. His remains were placed in the vault at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Isaac N. Buck died Jany 23, 1877 in Philadelphia T. Willie buck died Nov. 27, 1877 at “Mt. View”, near F.R. Susan R. Buck died July 1880 at “Mt. View” Robert L. Buck died at “Edgewood” Aug. 18th 1882 Janet U. Buck died May 2, 1890 in Front Royal.
