Beginning at two chesnuts on the east side of a branch thence with the lines of John Lewarks land North 70 degrees East 14 poles to a small white ash on the west side of the branch North thirty three degrees west 24 poles running down the branch to a beech South 84 degrees West sixty four poles to between ??? on the top of a ridge North 24 West 16 poles to a chesnut oak on the top of a ridge North 13 West 20 poles to a large chesnut and small poplar North 53 West 8 poles to a large chesnut corner to the lands of Jamison and Richardson thence with Richardson's line North 68 E 175 poles to two black oak corner to Bryson and Richardson South 16 West 102 poles to two dogwoods and sourwood South 34 West 24 poles to a blazed white oak by a path South 66 West 24 poles to the Beginning. Containing sixty three acres with all its appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with all its appurtenances unto the said George Goodman and his heirs forever. And the said Thomas Jamison and Rachel his wife for themselves and their heirs do covenant with the said George Goodman and his heirs that they the said Thomas Jamison and Rachel his wife and their heirs the said tract or parcel of land with alls its appurtenances unto the said George Goodman and his heirs against the claims of all persons whosoever shall warrant and will forever defend. In Witness whereof the said Thomas Jamison and Rachel his wife have hereunto subscribed their names and affixed their seals the day and year first above written. This Indenture of bargain and sale between Thomas Jamison and Rachel his wife of the one part and George Goodman of the other part was proved by the oath of Andrew Russell, Jno.
