Persons or organizations desiring to use this material for other than private research, must obtain the written consent of the contributor, or the legal representative of the submitter, and contact the listed USGenWeb archivist with proof of this consent. **************************************************************** THIS INDENTURE made the Eighteenth day of September on thousand seven hundred and Ninety-five? between Mercia Guym of the one part and Michael Fleenar of the other part, both in the County of Washington and Commonwealth of Virginia witnesseth that the said Mercia Guym for and in consideration of the sum of Thirty-seven pounds current money of Virginia to her the said Mercia Guym in hand paid by the said Michael Fleenar the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said Mercia Guym hath granted, bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell unto the said Michael Fleenar and his heirs one certain tract or parcel of land containing Seventy-six ? Acres to the same more or less lying and being in the County of Washington in the Rich Valley a branch of the North Fork of the Holstein's River and granted to the said Mercia Guym by patent granted on the twenty-six day of June one thousand seven hundred and Eighty-six and of the Commonwealth the tenth and being a part of the same patent containing One hundred and ninety acres bounded as followeth, to Wit: BEGINNING at a Dogwood and hiccory on the old line and running with the same North 60 degrees East 181 poles to a hiccory saplin and two small Dogwoods on a hill South 29 degrees East 32 poles to a _?_ oak and white walnut at the foot of Walkers Mtn. and along the same South 39? degrees West 200 poles to a leaning? white oak and a small hiccory by a sink hole thence leaving the old line North 24 degrees West 104 poles to the Beginning. With all its appurtenances To Have and to Hold a said tract land with its appurtenances unto the said Michael Fleenar and his heirs forever. And the said Mercia Guym and her heirs will forever warrant and defend the said tract of land with its appurtenances unto the said Michael Fleenar and his heirs against the claims of all persons whatsoever.
