****document cut off at top but this is the rest that was visible:  in the year 
1779 whereupon it is ordered to be certified that the said Mary Moffett was in 
indigent circumstances at the death of her husband, and having three helpless 
orphans the oldest being scarce four years old and the youngest was born in the 
month of September 1779. and that she was under the necessity of leaving this 
County near two years, upon the death of her husband, to escape danger of the 
Indians , excepting which she has resided in this County previous to his death.

received 96 pounds as settlement.
