Mr. Aistrop was a lifelong resident of Washington County and retired from U. S. Gypsum after 35 years of service. He had been a member of the Friendship Baptist Church for the past 19 years. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Belle Wynegar Aistrop, Glade Spring; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Monica Aistrop, Maryville, Tenn.; two sisters: Elveta Henderson, Goshen, Ind.; and Juanita Poston, Dickensonville, Va.; two grandchildren, Matthew Aistrop and Kristen Aistrop; a great grandchild, Katlyn Aistrop. A graveside service will be conducted Friday, June 6, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. in the Baptist Cemetery, Glade Spring, with Rev. Paul Jones and Mr. Bart Wynegar, minister officiating. Interment will follow the graveside service. There will be no visitation in the funeral home. Those attending the service are asked to assemble at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Friendship Baptist Church or to the Glade Spring Volunteer Life Saving Crew.
