Judy had been a resident of this area since 1965 and was a member of the Pleasant View United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Harold Baumgardner, Abingdon; her parents, Robert and Alberta Rice, Abingdon; a daughter, Mechelle Fleenor, Bristol Virginia; stepson, Blaine Baumgardner, Glade Spring; stepdaughter, Nora Cook, Bristol Virginia; her brother, John Rice and wife Brenda, Bristol Tennessee; grandchildren, J.C. Fleenor and Terri Lea Fleenor; and special friends, Connie Price of Damascus and Michelle Oliver, Abingdon. The funeral service will be conducted Monday, March 17, 2003, at 2:30 p.m. in the Farris Cremation and Funeral Center, located on the grounds of Forest Hill Memory Gardens, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA (276-623-2727). The Reverend Walter Statzer will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum. Those wishing to express sympathy online may do so by visiting www.farrisfuneralservice.com.
