Mrs. Booth was a graduate of Emory & Henry College and was a retired school teacher with the Washington County School System. She was a long time member of Abingdon Baptist Church and had lived her entire life in the Washington County area before moving to Wilmington. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Booth Jr. Mrs. Booth is survived by two sons, James A. Booth III and wife Cindy of Wilmington and Leon D. Booth of Falls Church, Va.; and three grandchildren, Jacki Booth, Alex Booth and Nicole Booth. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, at the Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Steven Pollard officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
