Breeding ABINGDON -- Mr. Walter Kermit Breeding, 73, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, at the Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Buchanan County, Va., and had lived most of his life there until moving to Abingdon 25 years ago. He was a member of the East Bristol Freewill Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Korea. He is survived by his wife, Edna Childress Breeding; one brother, Lee Breeding of Ocala, Fla.; four sisters, Meril Doyon and Adaline Lockhart, both of Fairfax, Va., and Gladys Dingus and Dorothy Chaney, both of Ocala; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at 1 p.m. in the Farris Funeral Chapel with Rev. Willis Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Everett Delaney, David Delaney, David Ratliff, Kyle Breeding, Ronnie Sliger and Donald Belcher. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
