Chapman ABINGDON -- Mrs. Julia Casey Chapman, 89, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Washington County and of the Holiness faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Chapman. She is survived by two sons, McKinley Chapman of Abingdon and Daniel Chapman of Meadowview; one daughter, Mary B. Sutherland of Glade Spring; one sister, Amanda Eastridge of Abingdon; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A funeral service will be held Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at 2 p.m. in Farris Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kimmy Bowman and Rev. Darvin Woodruff officiating. Burial will follow in the Baptist cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Fred Harrison, David Nunley, Travis Nunley, Albert Cummings Tignor, Mark Holmes and Carter Thomas.
