C. Richard Fields

JOHNSON CITY -- C. Richard Fields, 75, 604 Willowood Drive, died Friday,
Nov. 29, 2002, in Appalachian Christian Village.

He was a lifelong resident of Washington County and was a son of the late
Raymond Fields and Cecelia Garland Fields.

Mr. Fields was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

He retired from Sperry-Univac Corp. and was a member of Covenant Presbyterian
Church.

Mr. Fields was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Fields Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Jean S. Fields; one son, Richard E. Fields and his
wife, Beckie Higgins Fields, Johnson City; one daughter, Lisa Fields, Johnson
City; one brother, Raymond Fields, Johnson City; two sisters, Mildred
Strickland, Johnson City, and Thelma Wilson, Hickory, N.C.; and several nieces
and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted 8 p.m. Sunday in the Morris-Baker North
Chapel. Rev. Sharon Amstutz and Rev. Don Muncie will officiate. Entombment
will follow the committal service 10 a.m. Monday in the Monte Vista Mausoleum,
where friends are invited to meet the family for this service. For those who
prefer, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to The American
Cancer Society, 508 Princeton Road, Suite 102, Johnson City, TN 37601. Online

family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday.
Arrangements are by Morris-Baker, 2001 Oakland Ave., Johnson City.
