He was a native of McDowell County, W.Va., and had lived in Abingdon for the past 25 years. He was a salesman with Bob Stearns at First Choice Homes and had served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Rosedale Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Edward Clinton Haga and the late Irene Virginia Rose Haga. Survivors include: his wife, Alice Haga of Abingdon; two sons, Leonard Haga and wife Terry of Bristol Virginia, and Eddie Haga and wife Tammy of Abingdon; one brother, Donald Haga of Arizona; a special friend, Bob Stearns; four grandchildren, Jared Haga, Brandon Haga, Miranda Haga and Christine Haga; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Campbell Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Willis Osborne, pastor. Burial will follow in Knollkreg Memorial Park with military honors by Highland Fellowship Honor Guard. Active pallbearers will be: Leonard Haga, Eddie Haga, Bob Stearns, Robert Brown, Bud Hines and Ted "Tater" McQueen. Honorary pallbearer will be: Harold Wolfe.
