George W. Grimes

    GLADE SPRING -- Funeral services for Mr. George Washington Grimes will be 
held Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Farris Funeral Chapel. Pastor Larry 
Lusk will officiate. A eulogy will be provided by Gerald Blankenship. Music will 
be by soloist, Suzanne Wallace. Burial will follow in Baptist Cemetery in Glade 
Spring. 
    Pallbearers will be Jack Grimes, Charles Mercer, Jim Arnold, Scott Arnold, 
Charles Connor and Fred Connor. Honorary pallbearers will be Ted Wallace, Lloyd 
White, Tom Whitehurst, Mike Hoback, Bobby Hammond, Gerald Blankenship, Cecil 
Sturgill, Erich Baldwin and Richard Wood.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Washington Springs United 
Methodist Church Building Fund c/o Mary Lee Davenport, 36570 Plumbcreek Road, 
Glade Spring, VA 24340.

    Mr. Grimes, 88, formerly of Portsmouth, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, at his 
home.
