Mr. Harless was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. He was a member of Blackburn Chapel. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Cecil Harless; and his brothers, Jack Harless and Billy Harless. Survivors include his mother, Kathryn Carroll of Bristol Virginia; one son, Bobby Harless of Cleveland, Ohio; three daughters, Julie, Nancy and Mara Harless, all of Blountville; brothers, Jimmy Harless of Bristol, Buddy Harless of Abingdon, Gerald Harless of Bristol, Terry Harless of Gray, Tenn., Ricky Harless of Bristol and Mark Carrell of Bristol Tennessee; sisters, Cathy Carter of Greensboro, N.C., Christine Hearon of Bristol and Lisa Jackson of Bristol Tennessee; mother-in-law, Ruth C. Hargis of Blountville; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Farris Funeral Service. They will also receive friends Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m. with a funeral service in Farris Funeral Chapel at 8 p.m. Pastor Gary Harless will officiate. A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Harless- Hearl Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James (Eyes) Castle, Garfield (Tex) Barrett, Jeff Mann, Kevin Collins, Ricky Harless, Buddy Harless, Ernie Sullivan and Jimmy Harless. Honorary pallbearers will be Burley Bowman, Pastor Tom Hicks, Pastor John Price, Pastor Charlie Baker, Fred Arrington, all of the Barretts, and other family and friends.
