Mrs. Helmandollar and her late husband, Joe, had owned and operated the Windsor Restaurant in Bristol Tennessee for many years. She was a member of the Central Christian Church. She was also a member of the DAR, Eastern Star, several flower clubs, the Art Club and was a former Pink Lady at the hospital. Hazel was a graduate of Sullins College. Mrs. Helmandollar was born in Loma, Mont., having later moved back east. She was preceded in death by her parents, David Bruce Sturgill and Anne Ruth Weaver Sturgill; her husband, Joe Helmandollar in 1976; and several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Helmandollar is survived by one sister, Edna Smith of Highland, Md.; and three brothers, Robert Sturgill of Marriottsville, Md., David Sturgill of Piney Creek, N.C., and Sidney Sturgill of Piney Creek. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, from the Akard Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ross Dampier officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens, Abingdon. Nephews and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those desiring may make memorials to the Bristol Life Saving Crew or the charity of your choice. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Akard Funeral Home.
