Kahle ABINGDON -- Mr. John Barkley Kahle died Sunday, March 30, 2003, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Born in Mercer County, W.Va., he was a son of the late Clyde Kahle and Minnie Ritter Kahle. Mr. Kahle was a member of Sinking Spring Presbyterian Church, a retired engineer with the American Electric Power Company and a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Nancy H. Kahle; a daughter and son-in-law, Katy Reep and Jaime Reep of Stafford, Va.; grandchildren, Jessica Reep and John Reep; a brother, George Kahle of Bluefield, Va.; and a sister, Eva Pope of Bluefield, Va. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2003, at the graveside in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Robert Tolar officiating. Those attending the service are asked to assemble at the cemetery by 10:50 a.m. Wednesday.
