Kawha CHILHOWIE -- Mr. Woodworth W. "Woody" Kawha, 72, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, in Smyth County Community Hospital. He attended Chilhowie Baptist Church. Survivors: his wife, Celestia Thamsy Kawha, Chilhowie; brothers and sisters- in-law, Lee and Eleanor Holmes, Saltville, Janie "Bug" Allison, Saltville, Denton and Thelma Colley, Aurora, Ga., Wyndham and Kaye Colley, Pasadena, Md., and Mary Jane Colley, Carlisle, Pa.; three sisters, Pauline Sully, Beverly Hills, Fla., Yolanda "Margie" Chirlan, Holiday, Fla., and Ramona Gloecki, Pittsburgh, Pa.; and one aunt, Estelle Porter, Elyria, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003, at Mount Rose Mausoleum with Rev. Chuck Herrell officiating. Entombment will follow. Pallbearers will be: Mike Allison, George Holmes, Lee Holmes, Jerry Woodward, John Boyd, Jerry Widener, Bob Edmisten and Wiley Colley. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday night at the funeral home or at the home of Lee & Eleanor Holmes, West Main Street, Saltville. D.R. Henderson Funeral Home is serving the family.
