Kestner Mr. Charles Howard Kestner, 60, of the Goose Pimple Junction community, Bristol Virginia, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, in Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon. Born in Tazewell County, he was a son of the late Henry Washington Kestner and Bessie Litton Kestner. Mr. Kestner was a member of Central Baptist Church and the former owner and operator of C & J Auto Body Shop for more than 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Norma Bott Kestner; a son, Mark Kestner and wife, Sheri, of Abingdon; a daughter, Kim Taylor and husband, Joel, of Abingdon; three brothers, Roger Kestner, Doug Kestner and Bobby Kestner, all of Glade Spring; three sisters, Lynda Pruner of Bristol Tennessee, Brenda Haynes of Randleman, N.C., and Patricia Ann Kestner of Glade Spring; five grandchildren, Adam Burton, Ashley Burton, Cody Kestner, Katelyn Kestner and Andrew Kestner; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, in Farris Funeral Chapel with Rev. Les Ketron officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Casketbearers will be Jack Latham, Ken Pope, Irving Stringer, Don Harry, Don Salyer, Clyde Ward, David Kestner and Walter Burton. Honorary casketbearers will be J.C. Crigger, H.C. Kiser, Ray Taylor, Joe Byington, Dr. Guy Tillinghast, Dr. Tom Johnson and the men of Central Baptist Church.
