South ABINGDON -- Mrs. Elizabeth Polly South, 61, went to be with the Lord, Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at her residence. Polly was a lifelong resident of Washington County and a member of the Key Street Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Oliver W. Holley; and a brother, Raymond Holley; and was an employee of Fred's Mobile Home Service for 31 years. Survivors include her husband, Fred South; sons, Dwayne South and wife Lori, Craig South and wife Amanda; a daughter, Susan Coleman and husband Nick, all of Abingdon; her mother, Lottie Holley, Glade Spring; brothers, Tom Holley and Gene Holley and wife Elsie, all of Saltville; sisters, Hazel Bowman, Collinsville, Va., Marie Clifton and husband Herb, Abingdon, and Dottie Briggs and husband Bobby, Glade Spring; grandchildren, Savannah and Dalton Martin and Kalley South; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002, at 2 p.m. in the Farris Funeral Chapel with Rev. Thurman Chapman, Rev. Ronnie Booher, Rev. Bobby Briggs, and Rev. Clayton Reynolds officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bob Sterns, J.T. Martin, Eddie Briggs, Tony Briggs, Eugene Holley, Donald Clifton, Timmy Holley and J.R. Horn. Honorary pallbearers will be Abe Hurt, Dave Gibson, Junie Moore, Kenny Moore and Wayne Holland.
