Minton ABINGDON -- Mrs. Shirley McDonald Minton, 64, died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at Johnson Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Minton, a native of Morgantown, W.Va., was the daughter of the late Brooks McDonald and Ida Murray McDonald. She was a waitress and a member of Rosedale Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Daniel Minton of Abingdon; two brothers, Delbert McDonald and Dale McDonald of Morgantown, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Farris Funeral Chapel. Rev. Mahlon Wyatt will officiate. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the animal shelter of the donor's choosing.
