Mountain GLADE SPRING -- Mr. Raymond (Dave) Smith Mountain, 88, of the Friendship Community, died Friday at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon. Mr. Mountain was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. He was a farmer and of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah Mountain and Elizabeth Rambo Mountain; a son, Kenneth Ray Mountain; and a sister, Sally Overbay. He is survived by his wife, Betty Creasy Mountain of Glade Spring; son, Michael W. Mountain of Conouringo, Md.; daughter, Juanita Mae Mountain of Jonesborough, Tenn.; grandsons, Michael Shane Mountain of Abingdon and Blaine Ean Kennedy Hughes and Ethan Blaze Hughes, both of Jonesborough, Tenn.; granddaughter, Heather Mountain Brewster of Abingdon; great-granddaughter, Emma Cheyenne Brewster; two nieces; and one nephew. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Farris Funeral Chapel. Rev. Mahlon Wyatt, Rev. Richie Neese and Rev. Buster Mullins will officiate. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Carl Brewster, Shane Mountain, Elmer Creasy, Lane Hughes, Fred Ray and Eddie Shatley.
