He was born in Midkiff, W.Va., and had lived most of his life in Logan, W.Va., before moving to Abingdon 22 years ago. He was a member of West Main Freewill Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 164 and the Shriners. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loraine Osborne. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Virgil (Ruby) Justice of Bristol Virginia and Sarah Mae Vance of Fort Worth,Texas; one brother, Robert Lee Osborne of Karlsbad, N.M.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at 11 a.m. in Farris Funeral Chapel with Rev. Willis Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens with military rites by American Legion Post 164. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m.Friday at the funeralhome. Casketbearers will be Randall Justice, James Justice, Mike Bailey, Teddy Justice, W.C. Vance and Virgil Justice.
