Sturgill CHILHOWIE -- The funeral service for Wadie S. Sturgill will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, in the Chilhowie Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Herrell, Rev. Bob Steele and her son, Rev. Douglas H. Sturgill officiating. Special music and singing will be provided by Sammy Lundy and Tonda Jayne. Burial will follow in the Konnarock Community Cemetery in Konnarock. Pallbearers will be Jim Blevins, Herb Blevins, Jerry McClure, Eric McClure, John Blevins, Allen Phillips, Keith Sturgill and Nick Sturgill Jr. Mrs. Sturgill will be taken to the church one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday. Mrs. Sturgill, 83, passed away on Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, at Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion, Va. Garrett Funeral Home in Damascus is serving he family of Mrs. Sturgill.
