Thompson GLADE SPRING -- Celia E. Thompson, 77, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, in Holston Valley Medical Center. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Thompson was a member of the First Church of God of Prophecy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Haskell Thompson. Survivors: four sons, Raymond Thompson, Virginia, Gary Thompson, Meadowview, Rickey Thompson, Shelimar, Fla., and Donald Thompson, Abingdon; two daughters, Carol Ledford, Abingdon and Betty Olinger, Glade Spring; one brother, Claude Mutter, Hopewell, Va.; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, at Henderson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gearry Jonas officiating. Interment will follow at Old Glade Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. D.R. Henderson Funeral Home of Saltville is serving the family.
