King Defender of the faith &c. Between Thomas Blundal of the Parish of Cople and County of Westmoreland and Jemima his wife of the one part and Thomas Hardin of the same Parish and County Planter of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Blundal and Jemima his wife for and in Consideration of the sum of Fourteen Pounds fifteen shillings Current money of Virginia to them in hand paid by the said Thomas Hardin at or before the sealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof and of every part and parcel thereof they the said Thomas Blundal and Jemima his wife doth hereby acknowledge and by these presents fully clearly and absolutely doth acquit exonerate and Discharge the said Thomas Hardin his heirs and assigns forever Hath granted, Bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents. Doth grant Bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff and confirm unto the said Thomas Hardin his heirs and assigns forever All that tract (……….) Dividend of Land Containing fifty acres be the same more or less/saituate(sic) lying and being in Nomony Forrest in the Parish of Cople and County aforesaid and Bounded as followeth vizt. Beginning at a Corner marked Red Oaks line wich (sic) Divides this Land from the Land of (formerly) Dan’l Hutt’s dec’d but now in the possession of Gerard Hutt and the land (formerly) Andrew Read but now in the possession of Ruth Read the widow and Relict of Coleman Read dec’d and the land that formerly belonged to Samuel Morris from thence bounding North East on the said Read extending South East one hundred and twenty pole to a marked hickory Corner tree standing on the East side of a swamp and in the line of the said Read from thence extending South West sixty eight poles to a marked red oak standing on the top of a hill and in the line of the Land that formerly belonged to Thomas Moberly from thence bounding South West on the said Moberly and extending along the said Moberly’s Line North West one hundred and twenty poles to a marked Poplar Corner tree of the s’d Moberly from thence extending North East along the line of the said Hutt sixty eight poles to the first beginning Corner tree/ together with all woods underwoods ways-waters-water wagons Priviledges Commodities and appurtenances whatsoever to the said Fifty acres of land/more or less and all and singular the Premisses (sic) and the Extensions and Revissions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof and also all the estate Right tolls and Interest of them the said Thomas Blundall and Jemima his wife of in and to the same. To have and to hold the said fifty acres of Land/more or less/ and all and singular other the Premises with the appurtenances unto the said Thomas Hardin his heirs and assigns to and for the only use and behoof of him the said Thomas Hardin his heirs and assigns and the said Thomas Blundal and Jemima his wife for themselves their heirs Executors and Administrators and each of themselves and each of their heirs Executors and Administrators Doth Covenant Promise and agree to and with the said Thomas Hardin his heirs and assigns by these Presents that they the said Thomas Blundal and Jemima his wife and their heirs the said fifty acres of Land/more or less/ hereby granted with the appurtenances unto the said Thomas Hardin his heirs and assigns forever against the claim of all persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever Defend by these presents. In witness whereof the parties first above named to this present Indenture have Interchangeably set their hand and seals the day and year first above written. Memorandum That this twenty eight day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred fifty three. The written names Thomas Blundall and Jemima his wife Delivered Peaceable and Quiet Possession Seazure(sic) of the within mentioned Lands and Premisses(sic) by the Delivery of Turf and Twigg on the said Land unto the written named Thomas Hardin according to the true intent & meaning of the within Deed.
