Parker, in the war with Great Britain, declared by the United States on the 18th day of June AD 1812 -- That he was called out with said company & Regiment en masse sometime in the month of July A D 1813 in the County of Westmoreland in the State aforesaid, and was in actual service upwards of one month on that occasion, and was then discharged. That he was called out again sometime in the month of July or August A D 1814 in a volunteer Troop of Cavalry commanded by Captain Glasscock attached to the same Regiment stated and remained in actual service about three months, and was then honorably discharged in the County of Stafford and State aforesaid near the Town of Fredericksburgh on the Rappahannock River as will appear by the Muster Rolls of said Company and Troop – He makes this declaration for the purpose of obtaining the bounty land to which he may be entitled under the Act of September 28th 1850, granting bounty land to certain Officers and soldiers who have been engaged in the Military Service of the United States. \s\ Joshua Reamy Sworn to and subscribed before me the day & year above written. \s\ T. On this 17th day of February A.D. 1851 personally appeared before me a justice of the peace of the ?? for the State & County aforesaid Bereman Reamy, a resident of the aforesaid County & State who being duly sworn according to law declares that Joshua Reamy whose name is attached to the within declaration is the identical man who served, was discharged & of the age therein stated, and that he is ana disinterested witness \s\ Beriman Reamy Subscribed and sworn to before me the day & year above written – And I hereby certify that the said Beriman Reamy is a credible witness \s\ T. Conway Clerk of the County Court of the County and State above mentioned do hereby certify that Thomas Hill whose genuine signature appears in the within declarations is and was at the time of signing the same a Justice of the Peace in and for the County aforesaid duly commissioned and sworn that all his official acts as such are entitled to full faith and credit and that the aforesaid County Court is a Court of record having general jurisdiction Given under my hand & seal of Office This 20th day of Feby 1851 \s\ J M Conway Clk Commision of pensions will please deliver or forward my Warrant to Dr S T Taylor of Somerville Va who as my agent will deliver same and transmit it to me \s\ Joshua Reamy - - -- - - - - - - - - - - State of Virginia Stafford County to Wit: This day personally appeared before me a Justice of the Peace for the County & State aforesaid (& the same before whom he qualified to his Declaration on file in the Pension Office in Washington) Joshua Reamy, Of the County & State aforesaid, and made oath, that he has no written discharge after serving as stated in his Declaration filed in the Pension Office in Washington, but was discharged en Masse with the other troops with whom he served, none of whom had a written discharge so far as he learned. Given under my hand this 22d day of December 1851. \s\ Thomas Hill, J.P. This Officer being the same before whom Mr. Reamy qualified to his Declaration in Another Certificate of the Clerk & County Seal in ??? ????? L. T. Taylor - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - District of Columbia } County of Washington } s.s. On this Eighth day of November and the year Eighteen hundred and fifty six before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for the county aforesaid and duly authorized by law to administer oaths with and for the County and District aforesaid personally appeared Joshua Reamy aged sixty four years, a resident of Stafford County in the State of Virginia who being duly sworn according to law declares that he is the identical Joshua Reamy who was a private in the company commanded by Captain Glascock in regiment of Virginia Militia (No 111 Regiment) Commanded by Richd E. Parker in the War with Great Britain declared by the United States on the 18th June 1812 for the term of and continued in actual service in said war for more than 14 days that he has heretofore made application for bounty land under the act of September 28th 1850 and received a land warrant number not recollected for 40 acres. He makes this declaration for the purpose of obtaining the additional bounty land to which he may be entitled under the act approved the 3rd March 1855. He also declares that he has never applied for nor received under this or any other act of Congress any bounty land warrant except the one above mentioned. \s\ Joshua Reamy I Henry Hungerford a resident of the City of Washington upon my oath declare that the foregoing declaration was signed and acknowledged (next page) by Joshua Reamy in my presence and that I believe from the appearance and statements of the applicant that he is the identical person he represents himself to be. \s\ H. Hungerford The foregoing declaration and affidavit were sworn to and subscribed before me on the day and year above written and I certify that I know the affiants to be credible persons, that the claimant is the person he represents himself to be and that I have no interest in this claim. \s\ N. Callany JP - - - - -- - - - -- - - - - (form declaration with handwritten insertions/corrections) ADDITIONAL BOUNTY LAND CLAIM UNDER ACT OF 3d MARCH 1855 STATE OF Virginia COUNTY OF Stafford ss On this 7th day of July A.D. One thousand eight hundred and fifty five the subscriber, a Justice of the Peace, duly authorized by law to administer oaths, within, and for the County and State aforesaid, there being no other Magistrate to be had to Administer to me an Oath I therefore on My own proper person and name, Joshua Reamy aged 63 years, a resident of Stafford in the State of Virginia declare that I am the identical Joshua Reamy who made application for bounty Land under the provisions of the Act of Congress passed September 28th 1850, and that a Bounty Land Warrant, No. for 40 acres, was issued to me on the day of ------- 185 for the military services rendered in the War declared by the United States Against Great Britain on the 18th day of June 1812 & was honourably discharged After having Served in the 111th Regiment Virginia Militia More than 14 days as set forth and established by evidence now on file in the Pension Office at Washington, to which reference is made. I served in the Company Commanded by Capt Glascock. I make this declaration for the purpose of obtaining the additional amount of Bounty Land to which I may be entitled, under the Act of Congress, approved March 3d 1855, granting Bounty, and additional Bounty Land to certain Officers and Soldiers who have been engaged in the Military Service of the United States and I hereby authorize Jame McLeasen to receive said Warrant as My attorney, and I declare that I have made no other application than that above referred to. \s\ Joshua Reamy We, Thomas Hill and Robert Kendall residents of Stafford in the State of Virginia upon our oaths, declare that the foregoing declaration was signed and acknowledged by Joshua Reamy in our presence, and that we believe, from the appearance and statement of the applicant, that he is the identical person he represents himself to be & was handed over to James McLeasen his Attorney to receive his warrant thereon from the Pension Office in Washington \s\ Thomas Hill \s\ Robert Kendall The foregoing declaration and affidavit were sworn to and subscribed before me on the day and year above written and I certify that I know the affiants to be credible persons; that the claimant is the person he represents himself to be, and that I have no interest in this claim.
