All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ==================================================================== Westmoreland Co., VA Marriage Bond 1793-1796, Vol. 3, 93 Know all men by these presents that We William Hunter and John Hunter are held and firmly bound unto his Excellency Henry Lee Esquire Governor of Virginia in Fifty pounds Current money to be paid to the said Governor and his successor To which Payment well and truly to be made We bind ourselves and each of us one and each of our heirs Executor and Administrators Jointly and severally firmly by these Presents Sealed with our seals and date the 28th day of Nov. 1793. Whereas there is a Marriage suddenly intended to be solemnized between the above bound William Hunter and Fanny Marmaduke, Spinster. The Condition of the present Obligation is such that if there be no lawful cause to obstruct the said Marriage, then the above obligation to be void otherwise to remain in full force.
