Deeds & Wills of Westmoreland County, VA, Book 22, Page 180 
In the name of God Amen, I William Greenlaw Senr. of the County of 
Westmoreland and State of Virginia, being at this time Sick and weak of 
body, but of sound mind and disposing memory do make, ordain, Constitute 
and appoint, and by these presents do make, ordain, Constitute and 
appoint, This Instrument of Writing to Contain my true and last Will and 
Testament in manner and form following, hereby revoking all other Will 
or Wills by me heretofore made. -- Item, I lend to my beloved Wife MARY 
GREENLAW the use of all my Land, Houses etc. whereon I now live, 
together with one full third part of all my personal Estate, (after the 
payment of my debts) for and during her natural life--this is considered 
to be in lieu of what the law would allow her.--Item, after the death of 
my said Wife Mary I give my said Land to be equally divided between my 
Sons WILLIAM GREENLAW JUNR and DAVID GREENLAW to them and their heirs. 
Item, I give to my daughter BETSEY GREENLAW one feather Bed & Furniture 
and one young mare Coalt a Chesnut Sorrell to her and her heirs forever, 
I also give to my said Daughter Betsey one Negro Girl named Adaline to 
her and her heirs lawfully begotten of her body. But should she die 
without such issue, I then give the said Negro Girl to BETSEY FRANKLIN 
daughter of WILLIAM FRANKLIN to her and her heirs forever.--Item, after 
the payment of all my debts, and on the death of my said Wife my Will is 
that all the remainder of my Estate including the Dower above mentioned, 
shall be divided into Six equal parts, and disposed of as follows one 
Sixth part to the Children of my daughter PHILADELPHIA by William 
Franklin, one other Sixth part to the Children of my daughter NANCY by 
McGERVIS & THOMAS SANDEY--one other Sixth part to William Greenlaw one 
other Sixth part To my daughter Betsey--one other Sixth part to David 
Greenlaw, and one other Sixth part to my daughter POLLEY SETTLES, to 
them and their heirs forever.--Lastly I appoint William Greenlaw Junr 
and David Greenlaw Executors to this my last Will and Testament, In 
Confirmation of which I have hereunto affixed my Seal and Signed my Name 
this 4th day of January 1811. -- William Greenlaw (Seal) Signed and 
Sealed & delivered in the presence of Samuel Templeman, Elizar 
Omohundro, Thomas Franklin. At a Court of Quarterly Sessions held for 
Westmoreland County the 25th day of February 1811. The foregoing last 
Will and Testament of William Greenlaw Senr deceased was fully proved by 
the oaths of Samuel Templeman and Elizar Omohundro two of the Witnesses 
thereto and ordered to be recorded, And on the Motion of William 
Greenlaw Junr one of the Executors therein named, who made oath thereto-
-according to law, and entered into and acknowledged Bond with Condition 
as the law directs, a Certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate
