All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Tosca Simms tkwhsimms@hovac.com February 7, 2009, 7:06 pm Source: Westmoreland Co Deed & Will Book 3, Pp 398-399 Written: October 9, 1701 Recorded: March 27, 1706 In the name of God amen! the 9th day of October 1701--I Michael Wellington of Cople parish in Westmorl'd County in Virg'a being in perfect sense and memory praised be to God do make and ordain this my last will and testament, in manner & form following /Viz t/ first and principally I bequeath my soul into the hands of Allmighty God my maker hoping that through the meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ, my only savior, and redeemed to receive free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and as for my body to be buryed in Christian buryall at the discretion of my executors hereafter nominated Imp's I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ann Robinson one ring of gold the price of twenty shillings sterl. to be procured by my Exo'r as soon as may his conveniency will permit Imp's I give unto my grandson William Robinson one ring of gold of the price of tenn shillings sterl. to be procured by my Exo'r as aforesaid--- Imp's I give unto my grandson Michael Robinson one ring of gold of the like value of his brothers and to be procured as aforesaid--- Imp's I give unto my grand daughter Elizabeth Blundall one ring of gold of the like value of my grandsons but not to be delivered to her but to be kept by my Exo'r until she arrive to the age of tenn years and then to have it. Imp's I give unto my loving wife and my son John Wellington my whole personal estate that I am at this day possessed with or shall be at my decease. That is, that it shall remain as it is that it shall not be inventoried nor appraised nor shared, but that my son John Wellington shall manage the same for the decent maintenance of his mother during her natural life and after her decease the whole to be his. Imp's I give unto my son John Wellington and his heirs forever all my land, plantation and houseing that I have in Virginia, reserving a habitation for his mother during her natural life. Imp's I give unto my son John Wellington and his + + + + + + my house and ground in Coadrill in the County of Hereford in the Kingdom of England --- I make, constitute, ordain and appoint my son John + + + + + + + + + + my sole and whole Executor of this my last will and testament, revoking and annulling all other wills be(sic) me formerly made and this to be taken for my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have sett my hand and seal the day and year aforesaid. At a court held for the said County the 27th ) day of March 1706 The Last will and testament of Mr. Michael Wellington above written was proved by the oaths of the witnesses thereto subscribed, and a probat of the same granted to Mr. John Wellington Ex'r in the same will named. Eund'm Cler'um Additional Comments: Michael Wellington had a daughter who married Thomas Blundall/Blundell, and produced Elizabeth. This was Thomas b abt 1683, son of Thomas and Hester Wright Blundell, and grandson of Thomas Blundell and John Wright. Daughter Ann had married Thomas Robinson, Sr., and had William and Michael before this 1701 will. William still alive in 1756. Wills of Westmoreland County, Virginia: 1654--1800.
