Akers FREDERICKSBURG -- Worley Eugene Akers, 71, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at INOVA Alexandria Hospital. He was retired superintendent for various commercial plumbing contractors. Survivors include his wife, Joyce A. Akers; sons, Danny Akers of Tennessee, David Akers of Chesterfield, Ronnie Akers of Fredericksburg and Randy Akers and his wife Heidi of Fredericksburg; sister, Stella Estep of Norton; three grandchildren, Justin, Rebecca and Roxanne Akers; and his mother-in-law, Ada Dotson of Abingdon. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, with a funeral at 8 p.m. Burial will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Norton, on Friday. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel with a funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday at Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel, Coeburn, Va.
