Bristol Herald Courier Sunday, January 19, 2003 Richard Dennis Brown MOORESBURG, Tenn. -- Richard Dennis Brown, 51, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, at his residence. He was the son of the late Danes (Buster) Brown of Jenkins, Ky. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Ada Brown; maternal grandparents Lubin and Katherine Jurich; and his father-in-law, Ivan D. Boggs. Rick was a retired engineer with the U.S. Department of Defense-NAV FAC-South Division, Charleston, S.C., and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his loving wife, Kay (Boggs) Brown, Mooresburg, Tenn.; sons, Eric Brown and wife Jo Marie Brown, Lexington, S.C.; brother, Danes Brown Jr., Richmond, Ky.; mother, Ann Brown, Richmond, Ky.; and his mother-in-law, Marie Boggs, Pound, Va. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, in Sadie Baker Memorial Chapel of Baker Funeral Home, Pound, with Rev. Troy Belcher officiating. Interment will be in Dewey Memorial Cemetery, Pound. Pallbearers will be family. Calling hours are one hour before services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dewey Memorial Cemetery, 9917 Dewey Cemetery Road, Pound, VA 24279. Baker Funeral Home, Pound, is entrusted with the care of Richard Dennis Brown.
