Hamm COEBURN -- Mary W. "Renie" Hamm, 88, died Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, at Riverside Nursing Home in Saluda, Va. Mrs. Hamm was a retired employee of VIC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred E. Hamm; her parents, Alex and Cynthia Johnson Long; daughter, Joann Meadows; brothers William "Bill" Long, Vic Long, Buford Long and Alden Long; sisters Frances Cassell, Monnie Rogers and Ruby Dale; grandson, Michael Meadows; and great-granddaughter, Candy McCoy. Survivors include sons Jack Hamm of Kingsport and Kyle Hamm of Round Lake Beach, Ill.; grandson raised as a son, Danny McCoy of Coeburn; daughters, Lu Shaw of Perry, Va., Jean Sartin of Coeburn and Lois Hussey of Minnifee, Calif.; special great-granddaughter, Amanda Daughtery of Coeburn; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, at 1 p.m. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in McClellan Cemetery on Sandy Ridge. Visitation will be held at Estes Funeral Home Monday after 4 p.m.
