Virginia L. Harden 

Virginia Lee Harden, 82, of Life Care Center of Elizabethton, died there Wednesday, March 9, 2005.

Mrs. Harden was a native of Wise County, Va., and the daughter of the late Sanford A. and Ida Mae Penn Hardin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Hardin, and two sisters, Marie Hardin and Audrey Hardin.

Mrs. Harden was a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation. She attended East Side Baptist Church.

Survivors include two aunts, Nan Scott and Pearl Taylor, both of Elizabethton; one uncle, Joe Hardin, Elizabethton; several cousins; and her caregivers, Betty Craft and Vicky Manuel.

Funeral services for Mrs. Harden will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 13, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Eddie Craft officiating. Interment will be at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral chapel anytime Saturday or Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Carter County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 776, Elizabethton, TN 37644.
