Jennings Jr. JOHNSON CITY -- Everett C. "E.C." Jennings Jr., 73, 2005 Heritage Place, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002, in the James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center. A native of Exeter, Va., he was a son of the late Everett C. Jennings Sr. and Pearl White Jennings Campbell. He had lived in Tennessee for a number of years. Mr. Jennings had pastored churches in East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. He was formerly employed at Watauga Industry, Elizabethton. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by a brother, Fred "Buck" White. Survivors include his wife, Florence Hicks Jennings; a daughter and son- in-law, Thalia and Doug Arnold, Galax, Va.; a son and daughter-in-law, Max and Freda Jennings, Jonesborough; a sister, Myrtle Harris, Kingsport; two grandchildren, Kristin Jennings, Jonesborough and Ashley Arnold, Abingdon; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. R. Willard Warfield officiating. Graveside service and interment will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the National Cemetery, Mountain Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Memorial Funeral Chapel, Elizabethton, is in charge.
