She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Lurie Day Jones. She was a lifelong resident of the Norton area. Surviving are a sister, Bessie Jones Tate of Norton; and two nieces, Rita Tate Beeler of Winchester, Va., and Susie Tate Stidham of Norton. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Bill Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow in Grey Cemetery on Guest River Road.
