Born to the late Clarence and Amanda Lucinda Adams in Dorchester, Va., near Norton, she was the widow of Fred McAmis. She was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are son, Jim McAmis Sr., Murfreesboro; grandson, Jim McAmis Jr., Sanford, Fla.; brothers, Jesse (Bud) Adams, Powell Valley, Va., and Don Adams, Norton; and sisters, Billie Spears, Norton, Sue Yarhouse, Richmond, Louise Snodgrass, Wise and Mary Doris Adams, Norton. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Norton. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton.
