Donald Mefford

NORTON -- Donald Mefford, 64, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at St. Mary's
Hospital in Norton. Born to the late Fred and Essie Hall Mefford, he was of
the Baptist faith. Mr. Mefford was retired from Glamorgan Coal Company and his
hobby was CB radio, where his CB handle was "Roe-Hoe." He was preceded in
death by five brothers and one sister.

Surviving are his wife, Mae Ramey Mefford; daughter, Angela Beth Mefford of
the home; two sons, Marty Mefford, Florida, and Freddie Mefford, Big Stone
Gap; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Mefford,
Norton, and Claude Mefford, Florida; two sisters, Doris Powers, Bluff City,
and Nola Ponder, Baltimore; and a special sister-in-law, Phyllis Kern,Wise.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Hagy & Fawbush
Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Greg Sargent officiating. Burial will follow
in the Laurel Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m.
Saturday at the funeral home.

     NORTON -- Funeral services for Donald Mefford will be conducted at 2 p.m.
Sunday in the Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Greg Sargent
officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurel Grove Cemetery.
      Mr. Mefford, 64, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at St. Mary's Hospital in
Norton.
