Mullins WISE -- Hattie Lane Hamilton Mullins, 86, passed away Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at St. Mary's Hospital, Norton. She was a native of Wise County and a lifetime member of the Wise Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Isaac Hamilton; her second husband, Joseph B. Mullins; two daughters, Betty Jean Mullins and Myra Margie Lee Burdette; her parents, Hector and Virgie Crabtree Lane; one sister, Blanche Yates; and one brother, James Lane. Surviving are six sons: Isaac Hamilton; Johnny P. Hamilton and wife Arlene; Joseph K. Mullins; Charles R. Mullins and wife Patricia; Danny W. Mullins and wife Debbie; and Douglas M. Mullins and wife Sue; three daughters: Anna Sue Gobble and husband Jim; Linda D. VanAlstine and husband Kevin; and Donna M. Cable and husband James; son-in-law, Melvin Burdette; one brother, Cowan Lane; three sisters: Fannie Steele. Jean Cookenour and Letha Wallen; 23 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel, Wise, with Evangelist E.R. Hall Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Hutchinson Cemetery, Wise. The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Sturgill Funeral Home, Wise. Mrs. Mullins will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. She will forever remain in their hearts. Sturgill Funeral Home, Wise, is in charge of arrangements.
