Pauline Orender

    WISE -- Pauline Orender, 80, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Dec. 10,. 
2002, from the home of her daughter in Wise. She was preceded in death by her 
husband, Ray Orender; her parents, Paul and Jane (Absher) Neal; a sister, 
Madge Nichols; and a brother, Palmer Abshire. She was a member of the Oles 
Hill Community Church in Norton.
    Surviving: daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Leon Mullins, Wise; son, 
Greg Orender, Powell Valley, Va.; two granddaughters, Kimberly and her 
husband, Kevin Collins, Wise, and Allison Orender, Big Stone Gap, Va.; three 
sisters, Ruble Hamlin and Helen Tate, both of Norton, and Geneva Skorupa, 
Powell Valley; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and loved 
ones, including a very special friend, Susan Collins. 
    The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the Hagy & 
Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. 
Friday in the funeral home chapel with Roger Roberts officiating. Burial will 
follow in the Laurel Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jack Peters, James 
Caudill, Mike Abshire, Rusty Skorupa, Henry Shell, Gary Tate, Patrick Abshire 
and Derek Stidham. Honorary pallbearers will be Carles Collins, Jimmy Tate, 
Mike Tate, Dan Stidham, Franklin Tate and Mark Abshire. Memorial 
contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. 
Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
