Yeary COEBURN -- Woodrow W. Yeary, 85, passed away Thrusay, Nov. 21, 2002, at home. He was former owner of Woody Sales and a former deputy sheriff of Wise County. Mr. Yeary was a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict, serving in the U.S. Army, and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Eva Yeary Graham and Jim of Wise; two sons and daughters-in-law, Danny R. and Phyllis Yeary of Greensboro, N.C., and Richard S. and Ginger Yeary of Coeburn; a sister, Edna Kilgore of Coeburn; six grandchildren, Mark Graham, Kelly Graham, Phillip Yeary, Aaron Yeary, Stephanie Yeary and Patrick Yeary; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 8 p.m. Friday in Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel, Coeburn, with Rev. Ronnie Mutter officiating. Military graveside services and entombment will be conducted by Norton VFW Post 4301, 11 a.m. Saturday at Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood. The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. Friday until time of service at Sturgill Funeral Home, Coeburn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care, P.O. Box 349, Norton,VA 24273. Sturgill Funeral Homes, Coeburn, is in charge of arrangements.
