She was born on July 17, 1982, at Abingdon, lived most of her life in Bristol Virginia and had lived in Wise the last two years. Laura had attended J.J. Kelly High School in Wise and graduated from Cedar View Christian School in Kingsport. She was attending Mountain Empire Community College and was employed at Sykes in Wise. Laura was a member of the Freedom of Worship Church, Norton, Va. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Ernest Adams. She is survived by her parents, Roger and Darlene Adams Wells, Bristol Virginia; two sisters, Kayla Wells and Brittany Wells, Bristol Virginia; her maternal grandmother, Marjorie Adams, Norton; paternal grandparents, Roy L. and Ruth Wells, Wise; special friend, Josh Fisher. Wise; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at Carty Funeral Home Chapel with Pat Sturgill, Danny Montgomery and Robert Fultz Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Huff-Brummitt Cemetery, Norton. Pallbearers will be family members. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. Visitation 4-7 p.m. Thursday preceding the funeral at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to The Widow's Mite Ministry, 1119 Commonwealth Ave., Bristol, VA 24201.
