Deed, Breeding Heirs, 1808, Wythe Co., Virginia This Indenture made this 12th day of September Between Spencer Breeding and Winney his wife, Jacob Cup and Libria his wife, Wharton Nun and Elizabeth his wife, and Nancy Breeding of the County of Wythe and State of Virginia of the one part, Bryant Breeding of the county & State aforesaid of the Other. Witneseth that the aforesaid Grantees being the Heirs and legal Representatives of Spencer Breeding Deceased for the sum of Twenty Dollars to them in hand paid by the said Bryant Breeding, the Receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge, hath bargained sold & Relinquished unto the said Bryant Breeding a certain Tract or parcel of Land Situated and lying on New River in the county & State aforesaid Containing by survey One Hundred Acres & Bounded as follows to wit, Beginning at a cherry Tree on the Bank of the River thence N7o E. 14 poles to a white Oak at 20 poles to a black Oak sapling N20o E. 72 poles to a white oak N10o W 160 poles to a Red Oat S45 W142 poles to a Locust and Red Oak, S20 W. 56 poles to three white Hickories and Mulberry on the Bank of the River thence up the several courses of the River to the Beginning together with all the appurtenances thereunto Belonging to have and to hold to the sole use and behoof of the said Bryant Breeding and his Heirs forever and the said Spencer Breeding and Mary [sic] his wife, Jacob Cup & Libria his wife, Wharton Nun & Elizabeth his wife Nancy Breeding do for themselves . warrant and forever defend the aforesaid Tract of land unto the said Bryant Breeding and his Heirs & forever.
