Harrell/Feeley/Russell/Draper Indenture, 1808 - Wythe Co. VA This Indenture made the 7th day of July, 1808, between William Harrell of the County of Wythe, State of Virginia on the one part; John Feeley, Joseph Russell and John Draper, Junior, of the other part, trustees, Witnesseth that the said William Harrell for and in consideration of three hundred and fifty Dollars hath bargained, sold and relinquished unto John Feeley, Joseph Russell and John Draper, Jr., trustees, a certain tract or parcel of land situated in the County aforesaid on the border of New River for the express and special purpose of erecting a house thereon for the purpose of a Seminary of learning and devine worship; and bounded by solemn bond. Beginning at a Buckeye, South 75, West 14 poles to a White Oak by Humphrey Ellis's fence, South 24, East 15 Poles to a White Oak, North 73, East 18 poles to a White Oak, North 26, East 6 poles to a White Oak, from thence to the beginning together with all the appurtenances threunto belonging for the sole use and purpose aforesaid unto the aforesaid John Feeley, Joseph Russell and John Draper, Jr., and their successors forever. And the said William Harrell doth for himself, his heirs, do warrant and forever defend the aforesaid tract and parcel of land unto the said John Feeley, Joseph Russell and John Draper, Jr., and their successors forever.
