Mrs. Rachel V. Perry of Wytheville, VA, well known in many sections of the 
state, died Saturday of pneumonia, after a two weeks’ illness at the home of her 
daughter, Mrs. Phoebe Bassett of Hampton with whom she was spending the winter.

After simple services conducted at the home in the presence of a few friends on 
Monday, the body was taken to Wytheville, where she had been a life-long 
resident, for burial services from the Methodist Church and interment in the 
Wytheville Cemetery.  Mr. Clyde Perry, a son, and Mrs. U. S. Tarter, a daughter, 
both of Cleveland, accompanied the body.

Besides her two daughters and a son, Mrs. Perry leaves a number of other 
relatives and hosts of friends saddened by her loss.
