James Campbell, will written 30 March 1799, proven 9 October 1799

        Personal estate to wife Mary and friends Francis Preston, Arthur
Campbell and Stephen Sanders, Gentlemen in trust for purpose following:
        Execs to make estimate of my estate and divided between children as
they come of age or marry.
        Real estate whereon I now reside and continguous shall be sold by
remaining exors and distributed equally to the children then sruviving--
this on death or marriage of wife.
        All other real estate sold immediately.
        Three friends to be guardians for children, and to attend to education
of his sons.
        "It is to them my children must look up when I am no more, for the care
and love of a father."
