I Joseph Heldreth of the County of Wythe and state of Virginia being very weak in body but of perfect mind and memory think proper to make my Will. I submit my soul to God in humble hope my body to be interned at the discretion of my Executor; as to my wordly estate, I dispose of it in manner following: All my lands, I devise to my son JEFFERY in fee simple. All my personal Estate I vest in my Executor to be sold as the law directs and after my debts are paid out of the produce, the balance to be divided in maner and form following: To my daughter ABIGAIL five shillings, to my son JOHN five shillings, to my daughter ANNA five shillings, to my daughter SARAH five shillings, to my daughter POLLY five shillings, to my daughter PHEBY five shillings, to my daughter RUTH five shillings, to my daughter KETTURAH twenty pounds. I give my son JEFFERY orders to pay JANEY COLE twenty pounds, to my son JEFFERY and daughter SARAH the residue if any to be equally divided. I appoint JEFFERY HELDRITH and ROBERT ADAMS Executors hereof and request them to take the burden of the same upon them in testimony hereof. I John Brally of Wythe County and state of Virginia, being very weak in body and health, but of perfect , sound, and discerning memory do ordain this to be my last will and testament, desiring it may be received by all as such, and whereas it is appointed for all men once to die, so dispose of myself in the following manner and form: First, I committ my Soul into the hands of the Almighty God that gave it nothing doubting, but I shall receive the same again at the General day of Resurrection, and my body to the earth to be buried in a Christian-like and decent form at the discretion of my executors hereafter named and as touching such wordly estate as it hath pleased God to bless one with that, I do dispose of in the means following, after all my legal debts are paid------- Then I give and bequeath to my Dear and well beloved WIFE all the land and possessions I now inherit with the stock of each kind, also the house hold furniture and all appertances thereunto belong, to have and hold the said land and premises without the hindrance or molestation of any person or persons during her natural life, the executor for her advantage may rent part of the said land. James Campbell, will written 30 March 1799, proven 9 October 1799 Personal estate to wife Mary and friends Francis Preston, Arthur Campbell and Stephen Sanders, Gentlemen in trust for purpose following: Execs to make estimate of my estate and divided between children as they come of age or marry. Real estate whereon I now reside and continguous shall be sold by remaining exors and distributed equally to the children then sruviving-- this on death or marriage of wife. Smyth Hezekiah Chaney File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Angela Ruley Page 440 David Jansen, Sr I, David Yanson of Wythe County do make this my last will and Testament............ 1) I desire, that all my just debts be paid after my decease out of my personal estate. 2) I give unto my son WILLIAM all the old survey containing 290 acres to him and his heirs forever. 3) I lend unto my wife CATHERINA my old survey of 100 acres during her life, and likewise out of my personal estate, I lend to her one cow, one bed and furniture, and as much of the household and kitchen furniture as she may choose to keep for her use; and after her decease, it is my Will, that not only the 2nd survey of 100 acres but also all the stok, household, and kitchen furniture, which I have but lent to her during her life, shall be sold, and the proceeds to be divided in the following manner: one fifth part thereof unto my son WILLIAM, one fifth to my son BALSOR, one fifth to my son GEORGE, one fifth to the children of my daughter CATHERINA CLEMONS, and one fifth to the children of my Daughter ELIZABETH WAMPLER. 4) All of my personal estate shall be sold after my decease and the proceeds divided among the afore names, three sons and the children of my afore named two daughters, in the same manner as afore stated in the third clause. 5) I give unto my son MICHAEL twenty five cents and no more. 6) I give unto my son DAVID twenty five cents and no more. 7) I give unto my daughter MARIA ZIMMERMAN twenty five cents and no more.
