POQUOSON - William Franklin 'Will' Lawson Sr., 73, a native and lifelong 
resident of Poquoson, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at Sentara CarePlex, Hampton. 
He was a graduate of Poquoson High School and Randolph Macon College. Will 
retired from N.A.S.A.-Langley Research after 23 years as a manager of 
Administrative Services.
Mr. Lawson was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin Maynard and Viola 
Huggett Lawson. 
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jo-Anne Cross Lawson; four children, 
William Franklin Lawson Jr. and wife, Nancy, Leigh Lawson, Leslie Neal Diggs 
and husband, Kenneth Sr., and Lora Neal Widden; six grandchildren, Amanda 
Lawson, Rebecca Lawson, Benjamin Lawson, Kenneth Diggs Jr., Jay Diggs and 
Hayley Widden; a sister, Annette Lawson Forrest and husband, W. Asa; a 
brother, Donald Fay Lawson and wife, Sandra; and numerous nieces, nephews, 
great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Claytor Rollins Funeral 
Home by the Rev. Milford C. Rollins. And at other times the family will 
receive friends at the family residence. Interment will be private at a later 
date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Poquoson Lions Club - Eye 
Bank, 7 Roberts Landing, Poquoson, VA 23662.
