To my daughter, Jane NUTTING, all my plantation and tract of land whereon I dwell, but in case their be no heirs of her body, then do leave to my granddaughter, Elizabeth SCANTLER. To my daughter Katherine SHELDON, all my plantation and tract of land lying at the head of Charles River, adjoining to Hayward's Mill; but in case she died without issue, to my son-in-law Richard SHELDON during his natural life & after his decease, to go unto my Jane Nutting and her heirs. To my son-in-law Richard SCANTLER my seal ring, cane and sword. To my daughter Elizabeth DOZWELL, one negro man named Great Jake and one negro girl. To my son-in-law John DOZWELL, one gold ring marked P.S. To my daughter Jane Nutting, after my WIFE Elizabeth NUTTING has her due share of my negros, her choice of the 4 remaining negros. To my daughter Jane, one feather bed and furniture. To my granddaughter, Elizabeth SCLATER, two NEGRO children called Will & Judy, being children of my NEGRO woman FRANK. Residue to my three daughters, Mary SCLATER, Katherine SHELDON and Jane NUTTING, equally divided amongst them. William Sheldon and Jane Nutting executors. Proven in York Co. CT.
