Colonel Stephen MARTINDALE of Dorset, Bennington County, Vermont, served in 1st
Regt. of Detached Militia of Vt. in U.S. service at Champlain from Nov. 18 to Nov.
19, 1812.  Also served as Lieutenant-Colonel in 1 Regt. (Martindale's) Vt. Militia.
